Rundown Checklists · Effective October 31, 2026
The short version: we collect nothing. Your lists stay on your devices, and go only where you choose to share them.
Nothing. The app has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no user accounts, and no servers of its own. Your checklists, their history, and your settings are stored on your iPhone or iPad, in the app's own storage and in the storage its widgets read.
Sharing is optional and only ever covers the lists you choose. If you invite someone through iCloud, the list is kept in your own iCloud account and Apple's CloudKit shares it with the people you invited, under Apple's privacy policy. If you pair two phones instead, they exchange the list directly over your own network, through a folder on a Mac or NAS that you own and point the app at, or as an encrypted file you send yourself by AirDrop or Messages. The person you share with gets that list and nothing else. We never receive any of it.
On a shopping list, the Walmart buttons open Walmart's website or app with the item words or products you chose, only when you tap them, the way any link opens. Rundown sends nothing to Walmart itself and reads nothing back. Ask Walmart in ChatGPT copies your list and opens ChatGPT; the list goes to ChatGPT only if you paste it there and send it, under ChatGPT's own terms and privacy policy.
The microphone, speech recognition, camera, photos, location, notifications and local network permissions are all optional. Each is asked for only when you first use the feature that needs it. Dictation, scanning and search words written by Apple Intelligence are processed on your device. Your location is used only on the device, to remind you about a list at a place you chose, and is never uploaded.
When you buy the app, Apple handles the purchase under Apple's privacy policy. We never see your payment details.
Your data stays until you delete it in the app. Deleted lists wait in Trash until you empty it. Deleting the app removes all of its data from the device; lists you shared through iCloud can be removed in the app or in your iCloud settings. There is nothing to delete on any server of ours, because nothing was ever sent to one.
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
